Account Deletion

You can delete your WordUp account and all associated data either from within the app or by requesting it through this page. Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.

Option 1: Delete From Within the App

The fastest way to delete your account is directly from the app:

Once confirmed, your account and associated data are immediately queued for deletion.

Option 2: If You Can't Access the App

If you no longer have access to the app (lost device, forgotten password, etc.), you can request deletion by emailing us from your account's registered email address with the subject "Account Deletion Request":

We verify your identity via the email address associated with your account. Requests are processed within 30 days, and you'll receive a confirmation email once complete.

Data That Gets Deleted

When you delete your account, the following data is permanently removed:

• Your account information (email, username, profile details)
• Your learning and progress data (word status, SM-2 review schedule, quiz and Speed Round results, daily streak, completed stories)
• Local cache data on your device (upon next sync)

Data That May Be Retained

The following data may be retained for a limited time even after account deletion, due to legal obligations or third-party platform policies:

• Purchase/billing records: Held by Apple App Store or Google Play under their own tax and accounting retention policies — these records are not stored by Lexora Education.
• Legally required records: May be retained for a limited period if required by applicable law.

Subscription Cancellation

Deleting your account does not automatically cancel your active subscription. To stop future charges, you must cancel your subscription separately through the App Store or Google Play:

• iOS: Settings → [Your Name] → Subscriptions
• Android: Google Play Store → Profile → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions
